The Battlefield 3 Beta is an open test to anyone that owns a PC, Xbox 360 or PS3 and an internet connection. If you'd like to be the first to be called upon make sure to register for the Battlefield 3 newsletter and ensure your Veteran status is up to date. EA/DICE have confirmed they will not be giving away keys to the Battlefield 3 Beta Trial on any social networking platforms.

What can I do to increase my chance of being invited to the Battlefield 3 Beta?
To have the best chance of being invited, you need to have an EA account. That's it! Other than making sure you have an EA account there is no special actions that you can take to change your chances.

What date will the Battlefield 3 Beta Trial start?
The Battlefield 3 Open Beta will start in Thursday, September 29th!
Running until October 10th, the Battlefield 3 Open Beta is your chance to play the game early, try out the free social platform Battlelog, and help make the game even better by sending your valuable feedback.
If you pre-order Battlefield 3 (PC digital download version) on Origin before September 25th, or if you have bought Medal of Honor: Limited Edition/Tier 1 Edition, you will get 48 hours early access to the Beta, meaning you can start playing Tuesday, September 27th. For Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, the Open Beta will be visible on the consoles' digital marketplaces under Battlefield 3. For PC, you need to install Origin and download the Open Beta from within the Origin application.

Yes, this is the Battlefield 3 Open Beta Trial, meaning that Battlefield 3 is still not at the "final" development milestone. The Battlefield 3 Open Beta will start in September. The exact date for when Medal of Honor: Limited Edition players can join the Beta will be announced at a later date although it is expected that these players will have a two additional days of participation before the beta opens.
Recently a Medal of Honor: Limited Edition Beta newsletter went out to users. What is that all about?
Well, that newsletter says you are entitled to play the beta in September. It is however not a ticket or a code. If you purchased a copy of Medal of Honor with the Battlefield 3 Beta sticker on it, you are eligible for the Beta. If you have not received the newsletter, make sure you opt in on your EAProfile to receive them. Also, if you havenīt received the newsletter and own a copy of Medal of Honor: Limited edition, you are eligible to play in the beta.

What is the Battlefield 3 Beta Trial for?
The purpose of the Battlefield 3 Beta Trial is to do a number of server-related tests in preparation for game launch, including load testing the back-end. Dedicated servers for Battlefield 3 will be provided, but this requires additional testing, and you will be helping make the Battlefield 3 experience better just by participating. EA are also looking to you to provide them with any feedback on the entire Battlefield 3 Beta Trial experience.
Why have the Battlefield 3 Beta Trial Servers gone offline?
There will be periods of downtime and periods when EA run tests that will negatively affect the performance on the Battlefield 3 Beta Trial servers (leading to lag and rubber banding, etc.).
