Having played for around an hour this morning, overall I'm happily impressed. Operation Metro, as most know is an interesting map; a combination of outdoor areas and close combat fighting. This style of map is something rarely seen in previous Battlefield titles, it offers tight and intense combat routes alongside wide open spaces. This map features no vehicles but forces a highly team orientated experience with infantry fighting in the most intense of areas.
The graphics are disappointing at first, however it soon became apparent that graphical advances for the console version had clearly been back-seat to damage effects. Personally I'll happily take the trade off to enjoy better animation and more realistic scenery damage. With that said, there has been some detailed advancements that are not instantly noticeable, for example the trees have more foliage and realistically sway in the wind and react to the blasts from explosions.
Visually the characters are more refined and the experience is considerably enjoyable. I'll update this thread once I've had a second play.
For those looking for a clan I've created a BF3Online clan so have a search for it!
I've updated the Battlelog thread with new Battlelog open beta images: http://www.battlefield3online.com/ba...battlelog.html
